Like other austenitic stainless steels, Alloy 321 One End Threaded Nipple works harden quickly and may require annealing after severe forming. Alloy 321H Both End Threaded Nipple is stabilized against weld heat affected zone (HAZ) inter-granular corrosion.

The titanium in this 321 Stainless Steel Nipple forms insoluble and stable carbide, which ties up all the carbon in the alloy and therefore prevents it from precipitating as chromium carbides. Overall the corrosion resistance of Stainless Steel 317 Hexagon Nipple is approximately the same as or slightly below that of Grade 304. Performance of SS 317 One End Threaded Nipple is best with a smooth surface finish, in the hardened and tempered condition. Heat this Stainless Steel 317 Both End Threaded Nipple up to 980 Degree C – 1035 Degree C, followed by quenching in oil or air, where oil quenching is necessary for heavy sections.

Temper this Stainless Steel 317 Concentric Swaged Nipple at 150 Degree C – 370 Degree C to obtain a wide variety of hardness values and mechanical properties as indicated in the accompanying table. Stainless Steel 317 Eccentric Swaged Nipple resists scaling in intermittent service to 925 Degree C and in continuous service to 870 Degree C, but is generally not recommended for use in temperatures above the relevant tempering temperature, because of reduction in mechanical properties.

Welding of these 317 Stainless Steel Nipple is difficult due to the risk of cracking, where a pre – heat of 200 Degree C – 300 Degree C is recommended prior to welding.

Sachiya Steel International is one of the well-established distributors for high quality Stainless Steel 310 Nipple, which is made to gone through various quality checks and is trimmed at edges. The rolling mill technology was the only technique used to manufacture Stainless Steel 310 Hexagon Reducing Nipple for industrial purpose. The rolled strips of SS 310S Hexagon Nipple were formed into a circular cross section with the help of funnel rolls.

The lap welding was then done on Stainless Steel 310 One End Threaded Nipple through the forge welding process. Stainless Steel 310S Both End Threaded Nipple is manufactured with continuous tube mill using multi – torch tungsten Inert gas. The filler metal or forge welding process is not used in Stainless Steel 310 Concentric Swaged Nipple, which are then fed to the tubes mill by us.

Stainless Steel 310S Eccentric Swaged Nipple is passed through the number of rollers as per the required size. In the tubes-mill, this Stainless Steel 310 Nipple is gradually converted into the tubular shape. The fitted welding machine is then used to weld trim edges of SS 310S Nipple using TIG welding process. The scraps and inside weld bead of 310 Stainless Steel Nipple are removed instantaneously by the machine. 310S Stainless Steel Nipple is cut to the required lengths depending upon the industrial demand, which is then subjected to cleaning to remove the dirt.

Stainless Steel 304H Hexagon Reducing Nipple has good resistance to oxidation at temperatures of up to 1040 Degree C (1904 Degree F) in intermittent service and 1150 Degree C (2102 Degree F) in continuous service.

Stainless Steel 304H Hexagon Nipple is widely used in environments where Sulphur dioxide gas is present at high temperatures. However SS 304H One End Threaded Nipple is recommended that this steel should not be continuously used at 425 Degree C – 860 Degree C (797 Degree F – 1580 Degree F) range due to carbide precipitation. Stainless Steel 304H Both End Threaded Nipple does not perform in reducing, nitriding or carburizing atmospheres, but it does outperform most heat resistant stainless steels in these conditions.

Stainless Steel 304H Concentric Swaged Nipple is prone to inter – granular corrosion after long term exposure at high temperatures. However, due to its high chromium content, Stainless Steel 304H Eccentric Swaged Nipple is more corrosion resistant than most heat resistant alloys. 304H Stainless Steel Nipple is quite ductile and forms in a manner very similar to 316, where good characteristics suited to all standard methods and generally recommended for fusion welding. When heated between 1202 Degree F – 1742 Degree F (650 Degree C – 950 Degree C), Grade 304H Nipple is subject to sigma phase precipitation.

A limitation with Stainless Steel 304L Hexagon Reducing Nipple is that titanium does not transfer well across a high temperature arc, so is not recommended as a welding consumable.

In general, Stainless Steel 304L Hexagon Nipple is referred as alloy steel when content of Manganese – 1.65 %, Silicon – 0.6 % & copper 0.6 % exceeds the limit. Stainless Steel 304L One End Threaded Nipple is the grade of choice for applications in the temperature range of up to about 900 Degree C, combining high strength, resistance to scaling and phase stability with resistance to subsequent aqueous corrosion.

Sachiya Steel International is one of the renowned producer & wholesaler of Stainless Steel 304 Nipple, which is the standard molybdenum – bearing grade and second in importance to 316 amongst the austenitic stainless steels. Stainless Steel 304 Hexagon Reducing Nipple is the low carbon version of 316 and is immune from sensitization (grain boundary carbide precipitation); as a result, it is extensively used in heavy gauge welded components.

Stainless Steel 304 Hexagon Nipple is usually regarded as the standard “marine grade stainless steel”, but it is not resistant to warm sea water. Stainless Steel 304 One End Threaded Nipple has good oxidation resistance in intermittent service to 870 Degree C and in continuous service to 925 Degree C. Continuous use of Stainless Steel 304 Both End Threaded Nipple in the 425 Degree C – 860 Degree C range is not recommended if subsequent aqueous corrosion resistance is important. In many marine environments, Stainless Steel 304 Concentric Swaged Nipple does exhibit surface corrosion, usually visible as brown staining.

The molybdenum gives 304 Stainless Steel Nipple better overall corrosion resistant properties, particularly higher resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion in chloride environments. Alloy 304 Nipple has excellent forming and welding characteristics, which is particularly associated with crevices and rough surface finish.
