A limitation with this SS 304L Welding Wire Mesh is that titanium does not transfer well across a high temperature arc, so is not recommended as a welding consumable. Our Stainless Steel 304L Netting Wire Mesh is stabilized in contradiction of chromium carbide formation by the addition of titanium.

These Stainless Steel 304L Woven Wire Mesh is heat resistant, titanium stabilized, austenitic alloy that’s commonly used for service in the 1000 Degree F – 1600 Degree F temperature range. Structures of SS 304 Welding Wire Mesh in swimming pools are known to be prone to SCC. The use of standard austenitic SS 304 Netting Wire Mesh is forbidden in several applications. High–alloyed steels such as 304 SS Wire Mesh can be used in dilute hydrochloric acid.

The resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion of Hexagonal Wire Mesh increases with the content of chromium, molybdenum and nitrogen in the steel. However, Welding Wire Mesh is convenient to use the Pitting Resistance Equivalent Number to rank the grades, where there is no single measure of corrosion resistance.
