Water – base coolant of Hastelloy C22 Woven Wire Mesh may cause chipping and rapid failure of carbide tools in interrupted cuts. Hastelloy C22 Spring Steel Wire Mesh is an alloy that is precipitation harden able for high mechanical properties. Alloy C22 Hexagonal Wire Mesh maintains good strength and oxidation resistance at temperatures up to about 1300 Degree F (700 Degree C).

The high strength and excellent fabrication characteristics of Alloy C22 Welding Wire Mesh make it useful for various components of aircraft and industrial gas turbines. Alloy C22 Netting Wire Mesh has good resistance to corrosion and oxidation along with high tensile and creep-rupture properties at temperatures to 1300 Degree C. Applications of Alloy C22 Woven Wire Mesh include blades, vanes, shafts, tail cones, afterburners, springs, and fasteners.

SS 317 Hexagonal Wire Mesh exhibits great resistance to chloride pitting and crevice corrosion because of high molybdenum content and nitrogen additions, and the higher nickel content ensures better resistance to stress – corrosion cracking versus the 300 series. The higher alloy content of super austenitic SS 317 Welding Wire Mesh makes them more expensive. Stainless Steel 317 Netting Wire Mesh is used in pressure vessels but is a low – alloy carbon steel with a chromium content of 0.5 % to 9 %.

Stainless Steel 317 Woven Wire Mesh is preferred where biocompatibility is required (such as body implants and piercings). Stainless Steel 317 Spring Steel Wire Mesh reduces the sensitization effect (precipitation of chromium carbides at grain boundaries) caused by the high temperatures involved in welding.
