The increased addition of carbon in Stainless Steel 321 Wire Mesh allows for a greater creep resistance and higher strength performance in elevated temperature environments (above 530°C). Stainless Steel 321H Wire Mesh may be susceptible to chloride stress cracking and excellent weldability in field.
For cleaning the surface of Stainless Steel 321 Hexagonal Wire Mesh, the processes brushing, grinding, pickling or blasting (iron-free silica sand or glass spheres) can be applied. Stainless Steel 321H Welding Wire Mesh responds well to hardening by cold working and has good welding characteristics. Stainless Steel 321 Netting Wire Mesh is the grade of choice for applications in the temperature range of up to about 900°C, combining high strength, resistance to scaling and phase stability with resistance to subsequent aqueous corrosion.
The resultant austenitic structure of Stainless Steel 321H Woven Wire Mesh at room temperature has optimum corrosion resistance containing as it does all of the chromium in solution. This titanium addition in Stainless Steel 321 Spring Steel Wire Mesh reduces or prevents carbide precipitation during welding and in 800 – 1500 °F (427 – 816 °C) service. Stainless Steel 321H Fencing Wire Mesh has good oxidation resistance in intermittent service to 900 °C and in continuous service to 925 °C.
