The Chromium available to form the passive layer in SS 316 Spring Steel Wire Mesh is effectively reduced and corrosion can occur.

SS 316L Fencing Wire Mesh is avoided by choosing a low carbon grade the so-called ‘L’ grades or by using steel with Titanium or Niobium which preferentially combines by means of Carbon. Stainless Steel 316 Wire Mesh is rather like a battery and can accelerate corrosion of the less ‘noble’ metal.

Sachiya Steel International is one of the Leading Manufacturer And Exporter Of High Quality Stainless Steel 310H Wire Mesh, which Good resistance to mildly corrosive atmospheres, but significantly less than Grade 310H due to the Sulphur addition; the sulphide inclusions act as pit initiation sites.  Grade 310 should not be exposed to marine or other similar environments, as these will result in rapid pitting corrosion. Because the sulphide inclusions in 310 are primarily aligned along the rolling direction the corrosion resistance is particularly reduced in cross-sections.

Stainless Steel 310H Wire Mesh

It is like other common austenitic stainless steels, is subject to stress corrosion cracking in chloride containing environments above about 50°C. Good oxidation resistance in intermittent service to 760°C and in continuous service to 870°C. Not generally recommended but, if unavoidable use Grade 308L or 309 electrodes. AS 1554.6 does not pre-qualify welding of 303.  Welds must be annealed for maximum corrosion resistance, but even then poor mechanical and corrosion properties will result. For ultra-high machining rates there are also available special grade variants such as Ugima 303UX. This includes copper to reduce the work hardening rate, in addition to the usual high Sulphur and Improved Machinability steel making practices.

In general any component that is heavily machined and where the corrosion resistance and fabrication properties of 310H are viable. Grade 310H (UNS S31009) has a carbon content restricted to exclude the lower end of the 310 range, so is the grade of choice for high temperature applications.

The best corrosion resistance is obtained in this austenitic Stainless Steel 310S Welding Wire Mesh, where their microstructures consist of very clean crystals in which all alloying elements are held in solid solution.

Austenitic SS 310 Netting Wire Mesh cannot be hardened by heat treatment; they are also nonmagnetic. The ferritic and martensitic Stainless Steel 310S Woven Wire Mesh both have an excellent microstructure, where the latter has a higher carbon level and can be hardened and is used for knives and tools. Stainless Steel 310 Spring Steel Wire Mesh contain only up to 0.12 percent carbon, which also have chromium as their main alloy addition and practically no nickel.

A limitation with this SS 304L Welding Wire Mesh is that titanium does not transfer well across a high temperature arc, so is not recommended as a welding consumable. Our Stainless Steel 304L Netting Wire Mesh is stabilized in contradiction of chromium carbide formation by the addition of titanium.

These Stainless Steel 304L Woven Wire Mesh is heat resistant, titanium stabilized, austenitic alloy that’s commonly used for service in the 1000 Degree F – 1600 Degree F temperature range. Our SS 304L Spring Steel Wire Mesh is primarily used in applications that involve continuous and intermittent service temperatures within the carbide precipitation range of 800 Degree F – 1500 Degree F.  These SS 304L Fencing Wire Mesh was developed for use in the chromium carbide precipitation range of 1800 Degree F – 1500 Degree F (427 Degree C – 816 Degree C) where un – stabilized alloys are subject to inter – granular attack.
